After about a mile you come to the end of the London Road and at the set of traffic lights, take the left turn over a bridge into Bathwick Street instead of straight on to the city centre; this route avoids getting caught up in the one-way system and takes you straight to the Carfax. After the Ambulance and Fire Station on your left you come to a roundabout at which you turn right into Sydney Place, then take the next right into Great Pulteney Street. The Carfax Hotel is in the middle on the right. Easy!.
