Open/Save and print the documents for the job you are interested
in and post the completed application form to:
Sylvia Back, Job Application, Carfax Hotel, 13 - 15 Great Pulteney
Street, Bath, BA2 4BS.
Sylvia will consider CV's emailed to her at
but our head office requires us to complete the form at some stage
- don't be put off by it, just fill it in carefully.
Due to the often large number of applications, Sylvia regrets that
she is unable to respond to every applicant, so if you haven't
heard from her within 7 days you have not been short-listed for
the job. She may keep your application on file for future use and
contact you if necessary.
Getting the Job Pack
Information about the jobs are in
format and the job application form is in
Reader format. You will need these two programs installed on
your computer to open and print the files (most libraries, job
centres and colleges have these). You may also have to bypass
anti-virus software messages in order to open or save them. If you
have any problems viewing and printing the files telephone the
Carfax Hotel Reception desk on 01225 425373 and ask them to post
you the job application pack for the job you're interested in.
Please do not do this unless you have to, and don't ask the
receptionists about the jobs as you'll be holding up our main
sales line and they can't tell you any more than job pack! Just
tell them as quickly as possible the name of the job, your name
and address, and a contact telephone number and email address.
Why Work at the Carfax?
The Carfax is a long establish hotel with a great track record of
playing fair by both staff and guests. Unlike many chain hotels
where the staff are treated poorly and the guests get a raw deal,
we aim to get the balance right between hard work and time off,
fair tariffs for guests and fair wages for staff, and most
importantly we are small, friendly, team who are proud of the
quality of the service and accommodation we provide. Check out our impartial
reviews from guests who have stayed here - we are one of the best
hotels in Bath, not cheap, not pricey, but good...even if I do say
Trip Advisor Reviews
The hotel follows a National salary scale, has a comprehensive
Employment Handbook, has options for an occupational pension
scheme, observes all
current employment legislation, and enjoys staff room facilities
onsite. Some of our staff like it so much they have worked here
for over 20 years, so we must be doing something right - anyway,
enough hard sell, it's a great place to work full stop!
