An impressive array of literary talent comes to Bath to provide an
absorbing series of lectures,
interviews, readings and after dinner speeches.
Each day has about 6 speakers offering a short talks and signing
copies of their books afterwards. It has now become a welcome opening
to Bath's festival season.

Bath Comedy Festival

This is the second year for the new Bath Comedy
Festival, which brings together some of British comedy's best
talent along with some of home-grown varieties. There will be improv and comedy
nights around Bath, street entertainment and pranks aplenty!

Bath Dance Festival
This established show, now in its 23rd
year, is held over the May Bank Holiday weekend in the beautiful
surroundings of the Royal Victoria Park. The inaugural Bath Flower
Show was commissioned to celebrate the centenary of the Botanical
Gardens (in 1987), a stone's throw away from the showground, and
well worth a visit for its beauty and peace.
Coincides with the dance fest this year.

one of the UK's premier music festivals, attracting

jazz and classical
music. The artistic director Joanna
MacGregor, the famed pianist, has
