Bath Spa railway station is conveniently located at the southern side of the city just a few minutes walk from the centre (follow this link to check it out on the map). It is also next to the bus station. There are local services to nearby towns (Bristol, Frome, Bradford upon Avon, etc) as well as a fast direct link to London (Waterloo) running every hour.

The walk to the Carfax Hotel takes about 15 minutes, while a taxi from the rank outside will charge you £3 or £4  to get you there in 5 minutes.
